Meet boxings newest middleman #Twitter

Matchmakers, promoters and investors are an essential cog in the business side of boxing  without these elements fights simply wouldn't happen as you need shrewd and capable businessmen and women in the game to fluctuate and generate revenue for  fighters and trainers alike.
Downside for boxers is that if they're not flavour of the month or have fallen down the pecking order with a promoter for various reasons or injuries, a risk to emerging  talent , or simply out on the popularity cold list .
 Time to step up
Now we have a modern middleman in Twitter which has opened its doors for those fighters who have built up a career but are now stuck in a rut as promoters push the next big money generator through by carefully picking fights, elongating their win ratio so that they get that elusive big money title shot. #AndTheNew. While the rest of the fighters are left wondering ? Is this it?  Where do I go from here? When will I be fighting again?  Then sparring to make ends meat which is hard for any fighter.

Twitter has opened options up for the modern savy fighter who can use twitter to self promote, call out a fighter then generate interest by getting fans involved to get the fight made as long as it's done in a professional tasteful manner as it can get distasteful at times with the  most notable call out been between  Billy Joe Saunders v Chris Eubank  #either fighter on twitter and search to find out a bit more, its well worth a read through the tweets alone.

Another fighter whose profile fits the above is @Willie_Casey Willie has done it all really, been in with the best fighters, won titles ,champion prizefighter, fought above his weight class just to get a fight. Willie Caseys boxing list of fights   similar to above he has taking to twitter to call out @KidGalahad90 who finds himself in a similar boat to a degree as none of the top fighters want to fight him. KidGalahad boxing list of fights  both are in the same arch, one feels he has a big fight in him, the other feels he has the world at his feet and it seems to be going static and who hasn't been really tested to date until he does he could find himself slowly slipping into a domestic rut. It will be interesting to see how this will play out. It has the makings of a perfect match up imo

Either way social media is a useful tool  for the modern fighter more so now but use it wisely and you might never know what doors it can open for you.
