Summary :
Curtis Woodhouse, The 34-year-old ex Premier League footballer who retired immediately from boxing after his all out war with Darren Hamilton back in February of this year has being tempted back into the ring.
Who would blame him ? but is it a case of the heart ruling the head for Curtis Maybe it was the lucrative offer from across the border to take on Limond in Scotland too hot to turn down?
Answers on a postcard :)
If we look at both fighters records:
boxrec.com Curtis Woodhouse
boxrec.com Willie Limond
Willie comes out on top with more experience as he has fought against renowned fighters in Alex Arthur, Erik Morales, Amir Khan and Anthony Crolla while Curtis has fought Derry Mathews, Frankie Gavin both fighter have moved up and down weight classes and making weight for tonights light welterweight title should hold no problems for both. My concern really is with woodhouse, his last fight was a do or die fight in which he put 1000% of his heart soul and life into that fight. Question for me is, while Curtis will give his all tonight 110% against Limond. I just feel he might not reproduce that kind of mental/physical performance from his last fight tonight. against Limond, who since his loss to Anthony Crolla has had 3 fights and won so confidence will be high and this bout with Woodhouse will be a step in the right direction if he wins tonight. Both are well schooled fighters and while both fighters don't have Ko power imo they will have no problem going to war toe to toe tonight. Either way, It makes for a entertaining fight for us boxing fans.
